REYKJAVIK, Iceland and SAN FRANCISCO, April 9, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — Controlant, the leading independent provider of wireless Internet of Things (IoT) temperature monitoring and automated services for global digital cold chains, today announced the launch of its PR-T80 Digital Temperature Probe — an innovative real-time solution for pharmaceutical products requiring low temperature control and real-time visibility. The solution was unveiled at LogiPharma EU (Montreux, Switzerland).
The Controlant PR-T80 Digital Temperature Probe is the first real-time monitoring solution fully validated for pharmaceuticals and designed for dry ice applications, active pharmaceutical ingredients (API’s), clinical trials, and additional pharmaceutical and life sciences products that require transport and storage in low temperature-controlled environments.
The new probe extends the capabilities of Controlant’s Supply Chain Monitoring solution, measuring low temperatures between -80C to 0C (-112F to +32F), and automatically sending data to a validated and compliant cloud software platform. Features include:
- On demand access of data regarding a single shipment or for an entire supply chain
- Temperature alerts sent by email and SMS
- Shipment notifications visible in the Controlant software platform
Business intelligence provides pharmaceutical manufacturers and their supply chain partners with invaluable insights to proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensure quality and compliance, improve supply chain efficiency, and reduce costs.
